Bears vs. Bengals: Joe Burrow's Super Bowl Manifesto Begins

Joe Burrow is done with the caveat. Tired of saying next year, tired of the Bengals being the team with the talent and the excuse, he came out this week and just said it: Super Bowl, 2026, no hedging. That is a loud thing to say before a single preseason snap has been played, and now Cincinnati has to walk out against the Chicago Bears with that quote hanging over the building.

None of it means anything on the scoreboard. Preseason openers do not care about manifestos. But every Bengals season for years has been defined by the gap between what the roster should be and what it actually delivers, and Burrow just put a flag in the ground before the noise of the regular season could bury it. The Bears, for their part, are just trying to find out who they are.

So the moneyline sits there, almost beside the point and exactly the point at once. Bears or Bengals tonight, no number attached, just a call.
